S-400 Triumph air defense systems were used during an air-defense exercise in the Kaliningrad Region. The unit was instructed to leave their barracks and conduct a road march towards their deployment area. During the deployment phase, the unit had to fight of an attack on its vehicles. Once deployed, the unit had to fight of another attack of hostile sabotage and reconnaissance units. Once safely in position, the S-400 missile systems were set up and had to fight off several attacks of both aerial and ballistic threats. Pantsir-S1 air-defense systems provided close range air-defense for the deployed S-400 systems.
The whole exercise took place under electronic warfare conditions in order to simulate combat conditions as close as possible. [1]

Over 500 military personnel, mainly drivers and vehicle mechanics, have started a course for driving their vehicles underwater and on the surface. The course will teach the drivers the correct actions for entering and driving through a water obstacle. For the drivers who will be operating the vehicles of the Naval infantry, their course will also include the procedures to be taken when operating their vehicles at sea. [1]

Oscar II class nuclear submarine RFS Orel was spotted in a position 35km west of Hiiuma Island, Estonia. The submarine was spotted heading towards the Danish Straits in order to leave the Baltic Sea. The submarine had taken part in the Navy Day Parade at Saint Petersburg on July 26. Russian nuclear submarines do not stay very long in the Baltic Sea. Last year the Oscar II submarine RFS Smolensk also left the Baltic Sea very shortly after the Navy Day parade, even though it could have taken part in the Ocean Shield 2019 exercise. [1] [2]

Improved Kilo class submarine RFS Krasnodar arrived at the port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad Region. The submarine is being prepared for her maintenance period which will take place at the Kronshtadt Marine Plant. [1]

Drivers and mechanics of the Baltic Fleet Naval Infantry concluded their training for overcoming water obstacles. The crew and mechanics underwent a theoretical training first before preparing and checking the vehicles. Once on the water, the crews were first trained individually before being brought together for a group exercise and moving in formation. The drivers at this stage did not train leaving an amphibious warship. [1]

Around 200 artillerymen held a live firing exercise at Kaliningrad. The exercise was supported by 30 pieces of military equipment, including 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled guns. The units held around 20 firing drills which included striking positions held by a conventional enemy. The targets were full-size targets representing military targets and engineering structures. Target information became available through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles used for reconnaissance and evaluation.
Prior to the firing exercise, the units had to fight of a simulated attack by a hostile reconnaissance and sabotage team during the movement towards the firing range. Overcoming minefields during the deployment was also a part of the exercise. [1] [2]

A group of around 20 warships has left the port of Baltiysk and started a large scale exercise in the Baltic Sea. The task force consists of corvettes, missile boats, amphibious landing ships and auxiliaries. During the first stage of the exercise, the task force will conduct anti-surface and air-air warfare. Over 200 military personnel and 30 pieces of military equipment were involved in the exercise during which the crews of the coastal missile systems simulated launches against a simulated enemy task force at sea.
The exercise also involved moving towards the firing positions, camouflaging the vehicles and operating in conjunction with unmanned aerial vehicles [1] [2]
