Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Dec-23 Weekly Brief Movements of the fleet oiler Akademik Pashin suggest that a small task group composed of both Steregushchy class corvettes is patrolling in the Central Mediterranean. This task force could have briefly entered the Adriatic Sea between December 20th and 21st. The remainder of the task force continues to show little to no naval activity with the majority of vessels confined to port at Tartus. Daily Events December 20 Fleet oiler Akademik Pashin is reported west of Corfu. The vessel might be heading north, entering the Adriatic Sea [ 1 ]. Satellite imagery of the naval base at Tartus showed the majority of the task force moored inside the harbor. The vessels present were identified as the Improved Kilo class submarine Krasnodar, the Grigorovich class frigate Admiral Grigorovich, Gorshkov class frigate Admiral Kasatonov, Buyan-M class corvette Orekhovo-Zuyevo and the Aleksandrit class minehunter Vladimir Emel

Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Dec-17 Weekly Brief Reports of naval activity by OSINT remains low but seem to confirm the recent trend that the majority of the task force is not active. Most vessels were at or near Tartus by the end of the week with the exception of the frigates Admiral Grigorovich and Admiral Kasatonov. Both vessels are Kalibr capable warships and could operate together in the Eastern Mediterranean in response to the presence of the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. Daily Events December 10 Steregushchy class corvettes Stoiky and Soobrazitelny arrived at the Egyptian port of Alexancria for a port visit [ 1 ]. December 15 Steregushchy class corvettes Stoiky and Soobrazitelny departed the Egyptian port of Alexancriafollwing a five day port visit [ 1 ]. Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Dec-10 Weekly Brief A new calm period has been observed for the task force as the vast majority of the warships returned back to the port of Tartus following a period at sea during week 48. Daily Events December 05 Satellite imagery of the port of Tartus showed the task force, minus the Admiral Grigorovich, present inside the port [ 1 ].

Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Dec-03 Weekly Brief A Russian surface action group most likely operated just west of Cyprus with a replenishment at sea from the Akademik Pashin taking place. The absence of several warships at Tartus suggest that the task force is most likely made up of one Grigorovich class frigate, two Steregushchy class corvettes and one Improved Kilo class submarine. Daily Events December 01 Fleet oiler Akademik Pashin is reported in a position 50 nautical miles of Paphos island. The vessel conducted a replenishment at sea during the afternoon [ 1 ]. Several Russian warships were observed inside the port of Tartus. The vessels identified were the Admiral Gorshkov class frigate Admiral Kasatonov and Buyan-M class corvette Orekhovo-Zuyevo
