Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Mar-25 Weekly Brief Little information was reported through the means of OSINT other then a satellite pass over Tartus which showed that only two vessels were in port. Frigate Admiral Gorshkov and the fleet oiler Kama are yet to arrive in the Mediterranean. Both vessels took part in a joint naval exercise with Iran and China. Daily Events March 22 Satellite imagery of the port of Tartus suggest that a Steregushchy class corvette and the fleet oiler Kola were moored inside the harbor [ 1 ]. The resolution was too low to detect other vessels.

Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Mar-18 Weekly Brief No abnormal activity was reported regarding the naval posture of the Mediterranean Task Force. Frigate Admiral Gorshkov completed a joint naval exercise with China and Iran near the Persian Gulf. The frigate is still expected to enter the Mediterranean in the short term. Daily Events March 16 Satellite imagery of the port of Tartus showed several warships moored or at anchor. These ships were identified as the Improved Kilo class submarine Krasnodar, both Steregushchy class corvettes, the Aleksandrit class minehunter Vladimir Emelyanov and the fleet oiler Kola [ 1 ].

Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Mar-11 Weekly Brief The departure of the Gorshkov class frigate Admiral Kasatonov and the fleet oiler Akademik Pashin resulted in a significant reduction in combat power of the task force as this is one of the three vessels suspected of carrying Kalibr cruise missiles. The replacement for the Admiral Kasatonov will be the Admiral Gorshkov which is heading towards the Suez Canal. The vessel passed the Equator on March 10th. Passage into the Mediterrean is expected to take place during week 12 if the vessel doesn't make an additional port call. Daily Events March 07 Several Russian warships were observed moored inside the port of Tartus.
