Overview

Northern Fleet
January 26
Nanuchka class corvette Rassvet completed gunnery exercises in the Barents Sea as part of its K-2 training course. Other combat exercises held by the vessel included air defense exercises, firing against sea mines and defending against USV attacks link.

January 27
Minesweeper Kolomna is engaged in her K-2 training course in the Barents Sea. The vessel cleared a simulated minefield which was laid by the Grisha class corvette Yunga link.

January 28
Grisha class corvette Yunga held several combat drills in the Barents Sea. These drills included air defense exercises with the OSa-M missile system and AK-176 and AK-630 gunnery systems, as well as defending against a USV attack and shooting floating mines link.

Baltic Fleet
January 26
Steregushchy class corvette Boiky arrived to its main port at Baltiysk, Kaliningrad. The vessel completed a 9 month long deployment link.

January 27
Around 10 warships are engaged in their K-2 training course, focused on combat operations link.

January 29
Steregushchy class corvette Boiky took part in an several combat exercises in the Baltic Sea. The corvette was tasked with detecting, and destroying a simulated hostile submarine, followed by simulated launches of its Uran anti-ship missiles against a simulated surface task force, followed by an air defense exercise link.

Over 10 vessels, including missile corvettes, patrol boats, and minesweepers took part in a large air defense exercise near Kaliningrad link.

January 31
Parachim class anti-submarine corvettes Kabardino-Balkaria and Aleksin completed an anti-submarine exercise involving detecting, tracking, and engaging a simulated hostile submarine. Torpedo launches were simulated during the exercise link.

Several vessels located near Saint-Petersburg were engaged in exercises as part of their K-1 training programs. The exercise involved getting the vessels ready for departure, air-defense drills while in port, and damage control link.

Pacific Fleet
January 29
Udaloy class destroyer Admiral Tributs took part in an anti-submarine warfare exercise in the Peter the Great Bay near Vladivostok. The exercise involved an unidentified Kilo class submarine and Ka-37PL naval helicopters link.

Out of Area Deployments
January 27
The Italian Navy reports that it observed and shadowed a Russian Kilo-class submarines in the Mediterranean link. The submarine is most likely the Improved Kilo Class submarine Krasnodar.

January 28
Udaloy class frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov arrived in the port of Muscat, Oman link.
