Weekly Overview
Northern Fleet
Monday June 23
Grisha class anti-submarine corvettes Snezhnogorsk and Onega of the Kola Flotilla were reported training in the Barents Sea. Both corvettes were tasked with laying a minefield while under air attack. The corvettes used man portable air defense systems and ship mounted air defense systems to repel the simulated air attack link.
Tuesday June 24
The Northern Fleet started search and rescue exercises in the Barents Sea which involve the submarine rescue vessel Georgy Titov and rescue submarine AS-36. The exercises will involve searching for simulated sunken vessels and divers operating at depths of 40 meters link.
A Tu-142MK anti-submarine maritime patrol aircraft landed at Severomorsk-1 link.
Udaloy class destroyers Severomorsk and Admiral Levchenko were visually observed in port link.
Wednesday June 25
Borei-A class submarine Knyaz Pozharskiy was visually observed departing Severomorsk link.
Friday June 27
Udaloy class destroyer Admiral Levchenko deployed to the Barents Sea for several combat exercises. The destroyer tested its communication equipment, air defense system and interaction with Ka-27 helicopters link.
Baltic Fleet
Monday June 23
Steregushchy class corvette Boiky was visually observed entering the Baltic Sea link.
Improved Kilo class submarine Mozhaisk held torpedo firing exercises at the Baltic Sea training grounds. Playing the role of the simulated enemy submarine was the Improved Kilo class submarine Kronstadt. Mozhaisk reportedly launched several training torpedo's during the exercise link.
Steregushchy class corvette Stoiky was visually observed departing Baltiysk, Kaliningrad link.
Tuesday June 24
Special underwater forces are being deployed in training exercises within the Baltic Fleet. The training involves improving the underwater skills of these forces in depths between 10 to 20 meters and involve the use of SPP-1 underwater pistols, APS riffles and bladed weapons, as well as hand to hand combat link.
Anti-sabotage boats Nakhimovets and P-747 held anti-sabotage drills near Baltiysk. The exercise involved fending of a simulated UAV and USV drone attack as well as protecting moored warships from simulated sabotage groups and mines link.
Wednesday June 25
Minesweeper Pavel Khenov was deployed in the Gulf of Finland where it exercised on how to detect minefields and practiced on how to sweep a simulated minefield link.
Parachim class anti-submarine corvettes Urengoy, Zelenodolsk and Kazanets were deployed for combat exercises. The three vessels formed a strike group tasked with detecting simulated submarines, laying mines, naval gunnery exercises and torpedo launches.
The exercise took place in the Gulf of Finland, after which all three vessels deployed in the Baltic Sea for an escort exercise with the vessels protecting a merchant traffic from simulated UAV and air attacks link.

Thursday June 26
Stereguschy class corvette Stoiky was used for the training of helicopter deck landings. A total of 10 landing by helicopters were practiced. The corvette reportedly held anti-submarine exercises link.
Parachim class anti-submarine corvettes Urengoy, Zelenodolsk and Kazanets held an anti-submarine exercise in coordination with Ka-27 naval helicopters. All three vessels simulated the use of their weapon systems link.
Training vessel Smolny departed Kronstadt for a long distance voyage to train around 300 naval cadets. It will reportedly make port calls in Africa and Vietnam link.
Minesweepers Pavel Khenov and Afanasy Ivannikov held gunnery exercises against floated sea mines and simulated air attacks link.
Friday June 27
Steregushchy class corvette Stoiky held combat exercises involving air defense against simulated airstrikes and electronic warfare as well as damage control exercises and navigational exercises link.
Buyan-M class corvettes Naro-Fominsk, Serpukhov and Zeleny Dol held electronic launches of their missile systems against simulated land and naval targets. Su-30SM fighter aircraft of the naval aviation followed up with bombing runs against the simulated enemy naval units link.

Buyan-M class corvettes Naro-Fominsk, Serpukhov and Zeleny Dol were involved in an air defense exercise link.
Minesweeper Pavel Khenov reportedly swept a simulated enemy minefield in the Gulf of Finland, followed by escorting vessels through the channel created in the minefield link.
Pacific Fleet
Monday June 23
Grisha class anti-submarine corvettes MPK-107, MPK-82 and Ust-Ilimsk held a series of naval exercises near Kamchatka. The exercises involved searching surface warships and submarines, air defense and gunnery exercises against UAV and USV drones. The vessels used their AK-176M and AK-630M gun systems during this exercise. A video of the exercises also shows the Ust-Ilimsk being towed by another corvette as part of a towing exercise link.
Wednesday June 25
Il-38 and Il-38N maritime patrol aircraft held a surveillance exercise over the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Okhotsk with the goal of detecting submarines and surface warships belonging to a simulated enemy. Ship-mounted Ka-27 and Ka-29 helicopters were used in the exercise while An-12 and An-26 transport aircraft practiced the evacuation of personnel and equipment to alternative airfields link.
The Japanese Ministry of Defense reported that the Udaloy class frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, Udaloy class destroyer Admiral Tributs, and sSeregushchy class corvettes Sovershenny and Gromky were visually observed passing the Soja Strait on a western course into the Sea of Japan link.
Friday June 27
Rescue vessel Georgy Kozmin with rescue submarine AS-30 were deployed to Avacha Bay, Kamchatka for a simulated submarine rescue exercise. According to the exercise, the AS-30 had to dock with a submarine experiencing technical difficulties and being forces to sit at the bottom. The submarine in distressed was simulated by a mock compartment lowered to a depth of 200 meters link.

Monday June 23
Steregushchy class corvette Soobrazitelny was observed with the use of satellite imagery in a position 16 kilometers of the port of Tartus, Syria link.
