Grisha class anti-submarine vessels Brest and Snezhnogorsk are in the Barents Sea holding anti-submarine and damage control exercises [2].

Frigate Admiral Gorshkov held a gunnery and air defense exercise in the Barents Sea [7].

March 06
Udaloy class destroyer Admiral Levchenko is reported in the Barents Sea holding navigation and general readiness checks [8].

Baltic Fleet
March 04
Intelligence collection vessel Vasiliy Tatishchev returned to the Baltic Sea [4].

March 05
Frigate Neustrashimy held a com bat exercise against sea and air targets. Weapon systems used in the exercises were identified as the Kinzhal sea-based anti-aircraft missile system and the Kortik anti-aircraft missile and artillery system [5].

March 06
Minesweepers Alexander Obukhov and Lev Chernavin held a mine sweeping exercise as part of their K2 training course [10].

March 08
Submarines Dmitrov and Mozhaisk arrived at Baltiysk during the morning hours following a transit from Kronstadt [13].

March 09
Submarines Dmitrov and Mozhaisk have started the L-2 training course at the Baltic naval ranges [14].

Tarantul class missile boats “R-18”, “R-24” and “R-298" engaged a simulated enemy task force with electronic launches of the Moskit anti-ship missiles during this exercise [6].

Tapir class landing vessel Nikolay Vilkov held an embarkation/debarkation exercise at the Desantnaya Bay followed by a air defense exercise [9].

Udaloy class frigate Marshal Shaposhnikiv departed the port of Hamad, Qatar [12].

Slava class cruiser Varyag completed an air defense exercise in the Arabian Sea [13].

Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of May-18 Weekly Brief A significant reduction in combat strength took place with the departure of Northern and Baltic Fleet warships as well as the Buyan-M class corvette Orekhovo-Zuyevo. This leaves the task force reduced to a detachment of the Pacific Fleet and the frigate Admiral Grigorovich.  The departure also included the two amphibious landing vessels, thus resulting in an end to maritime weapon shipments for Russian mercenary forces stationed in Libya. Daily Events May 11 Civilian oil tanker Okeansky Prospect entered the Mediterranean during the afternoon via the Strait of Gibraltar [ 1 ]. Weapons runner Sparta IV was anchored near Malta and would stay there until May 13th. Frigate Admiral Grigorovich was observed sailing near Sparta IV [ 2 ]. Task Force Composition As reported by OSINT at the morning of Sep-07 Weekly Brief Fleet oiler Akademik Pashin, most likely escorted by the frigate Neustrashimy, unexpectedly departed the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal. Their destination was not reported though several Russian interests are present in the region such as Sudan, Yemen and Iran. A long term Indian Ocean deployment appears to be unlikely since these deployments are almost always handled by vessels of Russia's Pacific Fleet. Improved Kilo class submarine Novorossiysk has been closing in on the Strait of Gibraltar. The submarine and her escorts could be entering the Mediterranean in Week 37. Daily Events September 02 Fleet oiler Akademik Pashin is reported 120 to 140 nautical miles from the entrance of the Suez Canal. The vessel is escorted by an unidentified frigate [ 1 ].
