Limited naval activity is reported in by OSINT and most warships of the task force were spotted moored inside the port of Tartus or at anchor just outside the port. A small Surface Action Group might be at sea, centered on the Udaloy class destroyer Admiral Tributs and the Gorshkov class frigate Admiral Kasatonov.

Satellite imagery of the port of Tartus, Syria, showed several Russian warships being moored inside the harbor. These vessels were identified as the Improved Kilo class submarine Krasnodar, the Buyan M class corevette Orekhovo-Zuyevo, the Aleksandrit class minehunter Vladimir Emelyanov, the fleet oiler Akademik Pashin and the Amur class repair vessel PM-82 [1].

Satellite imagery of the port of Tartus, Syria, showed several Russian warships moored or at anchor. The identified vessels included the Slava class cruiser Varyag, the Grigorovich class frigate Admiral Grigorovich and the Aleksandrit class minehunter Vladimir Emelyanov [2].
