Su-27 fighters of the Baltic Fleet Naval Aviation trained intercepting and engaging enemy aircraft at Kaliningrad. The pilots trained their offensive and defensive maneuvers at different altitudes in order to evade air-to-air missiles. The pilots also trained on how to force intruding aircraft to land on Russian airfield. [1]

Su-27 fighter aircraft of the naval aviation regiment held an air defense exercise which practiced intercepting and destroying hostile aerial targets. The Su-27 fighters engaged practice targets. These targets are reported to be SAB-250 luminous bombs which were dropped from Su-24 bomber aircraft. The exercise was held over the Baltic Sea in order to minimize collateral damage. [1]
Russian air defense units at Kaliningrad held an defensive exercise in which a group of hostile unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed. The UAVs were heading towards a military facility but according to Russian sources, the group was first targeted by electronic warfare systems before being shot down by Pantsir S1 air defense systems. There is a high probability that lessons learned from units in Syria were employed in this exercise. [1]
